WHAT YOU NEED
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking POWDER
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups jam
WHAT TO DO
Mix the butter and sugar on medium speed until light yellow (about 2 min). With the mixer on low speed, add the vanilla, eggs, and peanut butter
In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture. Mix just until combined.
Preheat oven to 350 and grease and sprinkle flour on cake pan
(NOTE: I used smaller pan for thicker bars)
Spread the mix in pan and even out
Cover with Jam...
Bake for 45 mins or till golden brown
Let cool and cut into bars..
